  6. should let people indicate if they would be willing to run the course or not, and integrate nicely with the "create a course" workflow. Also include an "Adopt this Course" feature for courses whose organisers are no longer able to run them. This adoption mechanism could also be used for course ideas with no obvious owner.

  7. Make a common notice board, where any person from any course can come and write in what he/she feels. It might even be announcements like the next class/course is on such a date and is on such a topic, anyone can join in

  9. Filtering by course status doesn't appear to be working right now. I am using FF3.6 on Mac OS X. I have tried filtering just by status and with status and keyword search, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Given the small number of courses on offer right now, I wouldn't describe this as a critical issue, but I think it's worth mentioning.

  10. The course listing page at http://p2pu.org/course/list doesn't default to sorting by open courses first. This would probably be the most sensible default.

  13. we need to send assignments editing a document at course material and uploading the file with a name that identify yourself. I think it's a good idea to implement a way only to submit assignment to the teacher, so the teachr knows who send the file and students have a "Send your assignment here" label

  15. Some times we have to use broadcast to send messages to the team, many time we will have to refer them back, so its better to save them all in the broadcast page.

  17. it's hard to get even a full listing of accepted participants (as heather pointed out). but the admin section of a course should have a dashboard with stats about students, their activity, etc.

  18. Course members often need to decide on international group meeting times. So far the votes have been outsourced to third party applications generally. A simple poll (Drupal core) could facilitate the process of meeting decisions.

    from stian:

Initially in our specs (for the second cycle) we had a calendar. The idea, which I got from Edufire, which does this very well, was that you would tell the system your time zone when you signed up, and all events would then be displayed in your time zone - for a project as global as ours, that would be quite important. However,…

  20. Seems as if these are being stripped out right now. I'm trying to use it to embed a calendar and student work, but no such luck yet.
