All video in WebM or Theora, backed up to Internet Archive
All video that is produced by course tutors should be encoded in the new HTML5 video codec WebM or Theora so that is plays natively in browsers without the need for flash. Being patent unencumbered codecs this will protect the content of the videos into the future. This knowledge should also be protected and shared by uploading all P2PU videos to the Internet Archive under CC Licenses.
Where possible if resources are available, videos should also be subtitled using the Universal Subtitles standard (http://www.universalsubtitles.org) to allow for Accessibility.
